Aegis Aerospace is currently looking for an Electrical Engineering Project Support Lead to join our team in Houston, TX.   Overview: The purpose of this position is to coordinate electrical engineering lab activities in support of the DOD Human Spaceflight Task Order (DHSTO) contract.  This position will support projects for the DOD Space Test Program (STP) – Houston office on-site at Johnson Space Center (JSC).  The electrical engineering lab supports STP missions by providing electrical fabrication, testing, and verification activities including harness production/testing, board testing and remediation, and electrical box integration/checkout.  This role will coordinate between multiple projects to assess deadlines for electrical harnesses and task lab support personnel appropriately to complete harness drawing, fabrication, and testing within project timelines.  This role is expected to resolve routine engineering and lab related issues and participate in the design, fabrication, review, and testing process for electrical harnesses as needed.  Candidates will be asked to routinely change priorities based on project milestones and requirements and manage lab output within schedule and budget constraints, and report status to program management.  Applicants must have experience in electrical engineering and harness fabrication/inspection.     Did you know? The position will be part of a team of integrators and subject matter experts (SMEs) who work together to ensure NASA human spaceflight programs adequately incorporate and implement NASA HMTA standards from NASA-STD-3001 into vehicle design. The Senior Commercial LEO Human Systems Integrator will obtain and maintain technical knowledge across all human health and performance disciplines and engage SMEs for the details. HHP disciplines include crew health, environmental factors, medical operations, physiology, anthropometry, strength and biomechanics, maintenance and housekeeping, safety, habitability and architecture, information management, and displays and controls. This position will work closely with the Commercial LEO Crew Health and Performance Officer (CHPO), the HMTA delegate to the Commercial LEO Program, to ensure HMTA/HHP is incorporated into commercialization strategies and commercial medical operations. The Senior Commercial LEO Human Systems Integrator will participate in designated meetings and working groups as a mechanism for monitoring the incorporation of HMTA/HHP interests in Program strategies and policies, communicate status to the HMTA/HHP team, and prepare materials for communicating awareness or escalating issues as needed. This position will support the Commercial LEO CHPO with identifying issues, incorporating input from experts and stakeholders, and proposing solutions.
