Overview

Aegis Aerospace is currently seeking a full-time Test Engineer III (Top Secret) to join our team at Lackland Air Force Base in San Antonio, Texas. Applicants must already hold an active Top-Secret clearance for consideration.

 

Overview:

 

The Cryptologic and Cyber Systems Division is a one-of-a-kind U.S. Air Force activity operating from Lackland Air Force Base which provides life cycle management for information assurance and other cyberspace support systems. The HNC division is responsible for technology development, acquisition, sustainment, and demilitarization of cyber security systems and products.

Responsibilities

  • The Candidate shall be able to provide technical and engineering support for major IT and Weapon System Test and Evaluation (T&E).  To include but not be limited to:
  • Documenting the review, test concept development, test methodology development, test plan development, test execution, and test reporting, data reduction and analysis, and end-user operational testing.
  • Using Design of Experiments methods to plan and conduct test programs.
  • Independently prepare (or direct others in the preparation of) criteria, computation/analyses, specifications, cost estimates test plans, and technical reports in the specific area of technical expertise.
  • Select and apply engineering techniques and procedures to analyze and evaluate specific problem, data, or other features of the work which are broad in scope and complexity.
  • Review and evaluate the quantity, quality, and overall adequacy of results and conclusions drawn from accomplishment of test engineering tasks.
  • Devise new and innovative approaches to problems encountered, and accomplish assigned tasks with efficiency, timeliness, and thoroughness.
  • Evaluate the configuration, capability, and operational relevance of test environments and ensure they are properly available for the thorough testing of software releases (e.g. fault insertion/fault identification).
  • Deconflict schedule conflicts between multiple releases, providing high quality analysis and recommendations to the program test lead.
  • Operate with general instructions; but select portions of work are reviewed in detail to measure adequacy of approach, execution, and presentation.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • BA/BS, 10 years of experience in the respective technical/professional discipline being performed, of which 3 years must be in the DoD, or 15 years of directly related experience with proper certifications as described in the Functionally Aligned Job Descriptions, 5 of which must be in the DoD
  • Working knowledge of Developmental and Operational Testing
  • Knowledge of PEO Certification (AFI 63-119)
  • Defect/Deficiency Reporting
  • Regression and Contractor Testing
  • Knowledge and experience with USAF Test documentation, Test Plans, Test Procedures, and the Test and Evaluation Master Plan (TEMP)
  • Secret clearance with the ability to obtain a Top Secret clearance when needed
  • Must be a U.S. citizen
