Position Overview:

Aegis Aerospace is seeking motivated and talented military servicemembers separating from active duty military service to join our team as a DoD SkillBridge intern. Interns will need to be onsite at one of our locations: Houston, TX, Huntsville, AL, Cocoa Beach, FL, Abuquerque, NM, Colorado Springs, CO. This program provides transitioning service members with valuable industry experience and skills to facilitate a successful transition from military service to civilian employment. As an intern at Aegis Aerospace you will have the opportunity to work on exciting projects and gain hands-on experience in various areas of our organization.

Responsibilities: 

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support ongoing projects and initiatives.
• Assist in conducting research, data analysis, and report preparation.
• Participate in design and development activities, contributing to the creation of cutting-edge aerospace and defense technologies.
• Support the implementation and testing of software systems and hardware components.
• Aid in the preparation of technical documentation and presentations.
• Follow established quality control procedures to ensure compliance with industry standards.
• Perform other tasks and duties as assigned to support the objectives of the internship program.

Qualifications:

• Must be a military service member within 365-180 days of transition/ separation.
• Meet all eligibility criteria for the DoD SkillBridge program.
• Strong interest in aerospace and defense industries.
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Proficiency in using standard office software (e.g., Microsoft Office Suite).
• Familiarity with engineering principles and technical concepts is preferred.
• U.S. citizenship or legal authorization to work in the United States.
